Kingsley Ng

Kingsley Ng is an interdisciplinary designer and artist working primarily on site-specific, community-engaging, process-based and participatory projects. Ng explores and crafts the relationship between the work and its context through various media and formats in his interactive installations, public workshops, sound and spatial design, and experiential experiments. Convicted in the belief that art can be socially relevant, Ng has been creating works to embody the value of a locale while capturing the multi-facet intersections between art and daily life. Most of his projects concern with the ephemeral and the intangible, including light, sound, space and time.

Galaxy Express gives a cinematic narrative of a train journey across time. It is speculated that, sometime in the future, human beings can no longer undo the damage we have inflicted on our home planet. The only chance for survival is to travel back in time. When the Sun, the Earth, and the centre of the galaxy are perfectly aligned, a train full of passengers from all walks of life embarks on its journey to the past.
